The Parkland Search & Rescue Society (Parkland SAR) is an Alberta based non-profit, charitable organization that provides trained search volunteers to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and other tasking agencies that request our assistance. Though based in the County of Parkland, Parkland SAR is utilized throughout north central Alberta in cooperation with other Search & Rescue Association of Alberta member groups.

In addition to training to bring lost & injured persons home society members also assist law enforcement agencies with evidence searches and are available to assist their communities during natural disasters and other civil emergencies.
If someone is lost, injured, and frightened Parkland SAR is available 24 hours a day to help find and bring them home. Our members are trained in ground search techniques, standard first aid, tracking techniques, basic rescue, and civil emergency response. We also provide preventative search and rescue education for children through the RCMP’s “Hug-a-Tree” program and NOVA’s “Lost In The Woods” program.

Our goal is simple:

“To train and be search-ready for those in need.”
